Rite of passage

The blog got today its first spam comment following the engine change.
Activated kismet as a first line of defence, its presence ought to be invisible to users.
If the blog misbehaves, don’t hesitate to contact me by describing what’s wrong.
And if spamming persists, the next step is to bring in bigger guns like captcha.
I’ve personally decided to handle spam issues with ‘Comment author must have a previously approved comment’ setting in Options -> Discussion.
Only problem is that I get loads of spam into my ‘Vieraskirja’ and ‘1st half of 2007′ blog posts.
Yeah, I considered that alternative, but being lazy, I figured it’s better to leave this to mr. webserver to handle rather than myself.
Anyway, personal approval would eliminate false negatives from the equation, so if there’s enough feedback about akismet unfairly devouring appropriate comments, I’ll try that instead (or install some captcha implementation).
