Thursday Challenge 22.5.2008: Pink
This week’s thursday challenge is pink.
Despite having borne the nickname “Pink” for more than a decade, I didn’t resort to an image of myself. Nope, used a picture of some random flowers of the appropriate colour seen in Pitäjänmäki while walking to work yesterday.

My guess is that this is apple tree. Cherry flowers have already disappeared from cherry trees in Helsinki area, but apple trees are starting to blossom.

I don’t think it’s an apple tree. I’ve walked past these trees for a few years, and they’ve never had any fruit. So I figure they’re pretty much just for decoration.
Then again, I might be utterly wrong, and the more nimble-fingered passersby have helped themselves to the whole crop. Year after year.

Fruit or no fruit, the blossoms are certainly lovely. Are they fragrant too? A lovely shade of pink.
